We have been down and out with colds, ear infections, eye infections, bronchitis, and strep throat. One of us gets it and passes it around. We are generous like that. With all the sickness there have been a few life savers. I try to keep it all natural as much as possible for both the kids and I. Without further ado I give you my go-to list for all natural remedies to kick a cold:
We use this in tea, behind our ears and on the bottom of our feet with coconut oil. I am able to kick the cold in a fraction of the time with this stuff.
I’ve mentioned Airborne Chewables before but they really are wonderful. We have a friend who is a doctor and he said to avoid all the sick bugs at his clinic he pops the chewables throughout the day. Also, my kid loves them!
We love throat coat and not to mention the inspiring little words on the tea bag. This stuff mixed with a bit of honey keeps your throat feeling like it isn’t trying to betray you.
I know it’s silly to list but drinking a ton of water helps more than you can imagine. Staying hydrated helps the body do what it needs to do or so they tell me. Honestly, my tension headaches often associated with cold/flu symptoms are gone when I’m drinking a ton of water.
Fish oil and vitamin D are superheroes in the war on common colds. I am thankful that they speed up recovery and boost the immune system. Well done oil from fish and vitamin D.
