6 BIBLE VERSES FOR WHEN YOU ARE PULLING YOUR HAIR OUT

Do you need a hug? Maybe a cup of coffee and reminded everything is going to be alright? I certainly do. When I’m feeling like things are a little crazy I cling to the scriptures. I cling to the scriptures of hope beyond I see, what my heart knows.

Let me tell you why I’m pulling my hair out. Well… I’ve got two out three toilets broken with out-of-town friends on their way in a few days, a baby shower to throw with people who I presume will want a bathroom at their disposal and as much as I want them to use my master bath I’d rather not have them tromp through my bedroom which is where I’ll throw all the kid’s toys to make my house appear spotless and free of any signs of life. On top of that I’ve got all kinds of other crazy just like so many others, but I know what it takes to get through the frustrating moments. Jesus, the hope of glory. Our lives are simply a string of days that offer opportunity to trust, to hope, to live in Christ. Maybe your toilets aren’t out of commission, maybe its something much worse, maybe the worries, trials, and debilitating troubles are weighing ever so heavy that you feel like you can hardly breathe. I’ve been there, I may be there right now. Let’s hold tight to the King. He’ll never fail us.

When my days are heavy or ragged I let the truth of God’s word soothe my achy soul:

“But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.” Micah 4:4

“The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”  Psalm 46:1

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

There is nothing as potent as scripture to ease a troubled heart.

Dear friend, let’s hope in Christ, let’s hold on to him like it’s all we’ve got, because it really is.
