Tomorrow starts another beginning, the beginning of November. This past month in the Pacific Northwest we’ve witnessed the leaves on trees turn a burning red and rich orange only to be beaten by the rain. It really has been beautiful watching the seasons change, but tomorrow starts the hustle and bustle of the holiday season more than today. We are making plans for Thanksgiving, pulling winter decor out from the garage, and preparing for endless parties and sweet cinnamon pies. Its lovely.
In the hubub that November and December provide remember to stop, breathe, take in the small moments, and trust the King is leading you in his time and in his way.
My planner, the Horatio Printing Planner, had a little message concerning these upcoming months, it reads,
“He doesn’t exist within time, God uses the timing He sees best for you. He uses it to grow you. He is so much more focused on who you’re becoming than what’s happening or what you’re doing. These long days don’t have to be bad days. Busy days don’t have to be bad days. Take advantage of whatever today is going to look like. Be honest about what needs to change and what is changing. We believe God is pulling more out of you this season so you can dominate in the next. He has graced you and covered you for this moment and the next. Not only has He gone before you, be he’s with you today. We rest in that.”
Below the text are spare lines to write in what you are believing for. As I scribbled down what I am standing in faith for this season I was reminded what my role is in the time and age. Nurture. I am to nurture the inner man, my husband, my kids, my dreams, and my tribe. When I nurture in the right places and people not only I but others will flourish at just the right time and in just the right season.
